Emily's Third Birthday Party!

Well until I can figure out how to upload pictures easier here is a little overview of what you are seeing. The decorations were up, the table was set and the bear themed food was made. The porridge (overnight steel cut oatmeal) with "bear"ries, honey, brown sugar, and crand"bear"ries was actually delicious! The guests arrived and the birthday girl was ready all decked out in her custom designed Goldilocks birthday shirt. (Thanks Mandie) Claire loved hanging out with her Godmother and Godfather. The kids enjoyed their table set specially for them with bear cups and bear napkins and plates.Grandma did a wonderful theatrical reading of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Emily loved singing "Happy Birthday" although it did throw her for a loop when we sang her name. Greatmaw made a beautiful Bear cake and cupcakes. After the presents were opened, it was piñata time! Emily gave the piñata love taps and it was cousin Ethan who finally broke it open! Emily asked later why we broke it and we had to explain to her it was meant to be broken. Fun was had by all!

Tea for Two

Today we learned about the number 2. Emily can already count very well but she doesn't know the symbols for the numbers so we practiced writing 2. sang "Tea for Two" and had a tea party. Complete with two cups, two saucers, two plates, and two mini cookies each. :) It was fun and brought tears to my eyes because she was so cute serving the tea. (I guess she does watch what I do :))

A Spray Bottle Sent from Heaven

Grandma gave Emily some window crayons for Christmas. Needless to say they were a hit and stayed on the windows for a few months. :) Emily must have heard Chris talking about cleaning them because I come over and she was scrubbing the windows. So I gave her a spray bottle filled with water and a few drops of Shaklee's H2 and let her go!

Spray spray spray....

About an hour later, two spray bottles full of water and a whole roll of paper towel and she decided the windows were done! Then she decided to move on...(There is a little tiny piece of paper towel in her hand there)

I am sorry grass-fed beef just tastes better!

So Chris loves steaks and we wanted to make some really nice ones so off to Whole Foods we went and got some grass-fed beef steaks. Then we thought we would finish the meal with a Strawberry and Cream Butterroll we had gotten for a fundraiser at St. James
I made some homemade baked fries and butter herb spread for the top and voila perfection! I was very impressed at how good the steak tasted. Much better than regular steak and I would definitely do it again!Enjoy with your eyes! Wish you had been here!:)
